Each time I watch this scene I change my mind about whether or not Steed really thought there may have been a threat or trap in the chocolates. It seems as though he may, at first, have been genuinely cautious, then realized all was well but kept up the act anyway. Or perhaps he knew all along and really just wanted one of her chocolates.

The world may never know.

Steed, naturally, is too busy with his drinks to notice.

The audience, however, notices. They are simultaneously frustrated, heart broken, and peeved as hell.

One thing that I do have to say: they’re incredibly hot together, and they never kiss onscreen. That’s pretty impressive chemistry.

It IS impressive. But I’m often too frustrated by the lack of kissing on screen to notice just how impressive.

Well folks. I’ve been inactive the last time, because I was on “holiday” for some days. I actually inteneded on my holiday to make some Doodles (I had too much to work the last two month), but I was literally under a 24h-supervision. I tried to make some sketches, but every three minutes someone came and asked me stupid questions about my “scribbling”… So, I had actually no leisure to work out new Doodle-sketches.
But: I could at least finish this one (hope you like it!) and I’m back now and can work on new Doodles! :D

Mrs. Peel gives us a lovely break of the fourth wall here, one of few outside of the episode ‘Epic.’ She gives a riveting preview of an adventure, then simply says: “Watch. Next. Week.”

Steed, on the other hand, sees a completely different story. He doesn’t reveal it to us, but judging by the way he looks at the crystal and whistles, it’s a good one.

Haha! I rewatched the scene and I noticed, that in the Germand synchonisation Steed explicitly says “I see YOU”, which he doesn’t in English. :)
